Doomben 10,000 – Doomben – tips

Time for the classic Doomben 10,000, one of the premier Weight For Age races in Australia, won previously by champions such as Bernborough, Black Onyx, and the super sprinter Manikato; and more recently by Chief De Beers, Takeover Target and of course, Apache Cat.

The weather forecast is for a fine day, with the track rated a good 4.

Tips as follows:

Race One – Ambassador Travel Benchmark 95 – 1200m

SH:        7 – Slots (each way)

MP:       5 – Fine Mist

 

Race Two – Suez Queensland Day Stakes – 1200m

SH:        5 – Barood

MP:       10 – Roeinda

 

Race Three – Glenlogan Park Stakes – 1350m

SH:        8 – Ghisoni

MP:       7 – Blueberry Hill (each way)

 

Race Four –  Channel 7 Premier’s Cup – 2200m

SH:        8 – Honey Toast

MP:       4 – Real Love (best bet of the day)

 

Race Five – Mitavit BRC Sire’s Produce Stakes – 1350m

SH:        6 – Sacred Elixir (each way)

MP:       4 – Oink (each way)

 

Race Six – Programmed Lord Mayor’s Cup – 1615m

SH:        7 – Hopfgarten

MP:       1 – Amovatio

 

Race Seven – James Boag’s Doomben 10,000 – 1350m

SH:        1 – Delectation

MP:       2 – Fell Swoop

 

Race Eight – Grand Prix Stakes – 2200m

SH:        1 – Howard Be Thy Name (best bet of the day)

MP:       4 – Mackintosh
