Welcome to my favourite race day of the year, the Cox Plate, the best weight for age race in the Australian calendar.

The weather in Melbourne has been glorious this morning and should stay that way throughout the day.  The track is currently a good 4, but remember the tight track catches out many.

Here’s today’s tips:

Race Six – Moonee Valley Gold Cup – 2500m

Race Seven – Dilmah Exceptional Teas Vase – 2040m

Race Eight – Schweppes Crystal Mile – 1600m
