Cox Plate – Moonee Valley – tips

Welcome to my favourite race day of the year, the Cox Plate, the best weight for age race in the Australian calendar.

The weather in Melbourne has been glorious this morning and should stay that way throughout the day.  The track is currently a good 4, but remember the tight track catches out many.

Here’s today’s tips:

Race One – Inglis Banner – 1000m

SH:        12 – Twist Tops (each way)

MP:       11 – Pearl Congenial

Race Two – City Jeep Handicap – 955m

SH:        2 – Diamond Oasis

MP:       2 – Diamond Oasis

Race Three – Alliance Broking Fillies Classic – 1600m

SH:        6 – Sempre Libera

MP:       9 – Silent Sedition (each way)

Race Four – Telstra Phonewords Stakes – 1200m

SH:        7 – Brockhoff

MP:       3 – Mawahibb

Race Five – Antler Luggage Crockett Stakes – 1200m

SH:        10 – Valley Sweetheart (each way)

MP:       4 – Harlem River

Race Six – Moonee Valley Gold Cup – 2500m

SH:        7 – The United States

MP:       5 – Taiyoo (each way)

Race Seven – Dilmah Exceptional Teas Vase – 2040m

SH:        4 – Tarzino

MP:       11 – Jameka (each way)

Race Eight – Schweppes Crystal Mile – 1600m

SH:        1 – Lucky Hussler (best bet of the day)

MP:       4 – Amovatio (each way)

Race Nine – William Hill Cox Plate – 2040m

SH:        4 – Hartnell (each way)

MP:       6 – The Cleaner (each way)

Race Ten – G1X.com.au Stakes – 1600m

SH:        5 – Coronation Shallan (each way)

MP:       9 – Manageress
